Dates
I've discovered this month that I like dates. My Dad always likes to have a tray of dates to eat at Christmas. He used to offer them to me when I was younger but I really didn't like them. I've given them another chance, and found that I actually quite like them.

Tal-Y-Bont, North Wales
Went camping for just one night on Sunday. We got woken up at 0300hrs by terrible gusts of wind. Very intimidating.

Chesterfield
I went to Chesterfield this morning. It gave me an opportunity to marvel at the crooked spire on top of the church in the town centre. It is such a queer site- go see it!

Fire Extinguisher
I went to Wickes in Minworth today, where I bought a fire extinguisher, and a fire blanket.

Metrosexual Man
My wardrobe is undergoing an overhaul, as my girlfriend tries to turn me into a metrosexual man.

Thai Crab Nightmare
I went to a thai restaurant and tried something different to normal by ordering crab. I hadn't anticipated that I'd be presented with the actual crab, and some claw crackers with which to help me bash it open to find the meat. I did not have a happy time with this meal. I am not squeamish, I simply found it fiddly and hard work. I think the work should be done before the meal is served up on the plate.

Olympic Beach Volleyball 2008
I've watched very little of the Olympics coverage thus far. There is nothing I specifically want to watch, and if I'm bored I tend to go outside and do some gardening rather than slump in front of the telly. Even the women's beach volleyball is boring. I thought it might be sexy, but the match I saw today was between two chinese couples. I don't find these skinny boyish chinese girls sexy. I respect their skills and fitness, but they don't give me the horn, and that is what I require from female athletes.
